Former Louisiana State closer Nick Goody and current pitcher in New York Yankees organization gets some help in Gainsville during his junior season.

Goody was asked in an interview if he thought the ball hit off the bat of Florida's Preston Tucker was gone or not and he replied, "yea, but the Man upstairs was looking down on me and blew it back in." LSU head coach, Paul Mainieri, called it "devine intervention" and Gator head coach, Kevin O'Sullivan was quoted several times saying "I have no explanation." Goody carries a pewter coin in his back pocket in the shape and design of a baseball that has a cross and Bible verse engraved on it reading, "For nothing is impossible with God." - Luke 1:37.
