House Diamondbacks Minor League Hitting Instructor

J.R. House begins his second season as an Arizona Diamondbacks minor league hitting coach. House was a 5th round draft pick in 1999 out of Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, FL by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He also played with the Houston Astros, Baltimore Orioles and New York Mets in Major League Baseball. 

A top high school football player at Nitro High School in West Virginia, House set a national high school record with 10 touchdown passes in the 1998 West Virginia state championship game against Morgantown. He was the West Virginia high school football player of the year and also set a national record with 14,457 career passing yards. House is now fourth all-time.
