I began playing baseball at the age of eight years old. There has always been something special about walking out to the field everyday that has just made me love the game in a passionate way. I feel lucky to have been raised in a loving Christian home, in which my parents supported me greatly in every aspect of my life including the baseball field. I never felt as if I was extremely gifted at playing baseball; however the drive and work ethic that the lord has given me has allowed me to surpass many other athletes who were probably better than I was.
In the world of athletics, I have found that many obstacles arise which will challenge your faith in god. For me simply making the decision of where to continue my athletic career has been a very difficult one. However, I have been blessed with great family and friends, who remind me that the lord has a plan for me and he will work it out with time. Sometimes it is tough to remember that the lord has a plan for us all, whether we are in a tight game or have to make tough decisions in our everyday life all we have to do is pray and look to the lord for answers and he will always lead us in the right direction.
Each day I thank the lord for the ability he has given me to play the game of baseball, because without him I know that it is impossible to achieve all that I possibly can. I trust in the lord that he will provide me with the best that he can every day of my life.
