McCord returned for his fifth year on the staff in August '99 after spending nearly a month in the Baltimore Ravens training camp as a punting prospect.
He earned first-team all-conference honors at WMC in 1991 and '93, and he still owns the school record for single-game punting average (47.6 yards vs. Albright in '91).
